Working from our forge in Kent, we combine traditional blacksmithing and hand-forged detailing with contemporary design and modern fabrication to create distinctive exterior metalwork that is both practical and built to last.

Every commission is different. We work closely with homeowners, garden designers, architects and other trades to develop individual solutions, considering everything from materials and proportions to suitable finishes for long-term outdoor use.

Victorian-Inspired Steel & Glass Porch 2026 – Tunbridge Wells

Working alongside a local garden designer who was bringing new life to the entrance of this Victorian townhouse in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, I was commissioned to design and make a bespoke steel and glass porch canopy. The brief was to create a practical shelter from the weather while complementing the period character of the property.

Inspired by traditional Victorian cast-iron porches, the design uses forged and fabricated steelwork to create elegant circular details and decorative supporting brackets. Combined with a glazed roof, the finished porch provides protection from the rain while retaining natural light and creating an architectural feature sympathetic to the original Victorian building.

Fleur-de-Lis Juliet Balconies – Tenterden, Kent, 2026

These bespoke steel Juliet balconies were designed and made for a returning client in Tenterden, Kent, complementing a pair of automated gates at the property.

The design incorporates elegant forged scrollwork with a central fleur-de-lis motif, reflecting the client’s French heritage while creating a visual connection with the existing entrance gates.

Combining traditional blacksmithing with contemporary fabrication, the finished Juliet balconies provide practical guarding while adding distinctive architectural detail to the exterior of the property. Each balcony was individually made to complement both the building and the surrounding bespoke ironwork.

Bespoke Pond Cover – Sissinghurst, Kent, 2024

This bespoke steel pond cover was designed and made for a garden in Sissinghurst, Kent, providing an additional safety barrier while maintaining an open and unobtrusive appearance.

The design uses intersecting steel bars with subtle forged ripple details, adding strength and visual interest without overwhelming the pond or surrounding garden.

For practical maintenance, the cover was constructed in four individual removable panels, allowing each section to be easily lifted when access to the pond is required for cleaning or maintenance.

The finished piece combines traditional blacksmithing, practical design and bespoke exterior metalwork, creating a durable safety feature designed specifically for the garden and its surroundings.
